So on the way to see GaGa's motorcycle last week, Evie had a snack in the car. It was some kind of fruit-roll-up-type snack, and it gave her sticky fingers. Evie hates sticky fingers, so I handed her a baby wipe and told her to wipe her hands and her chin.
A few minutes later, Evie screamed hysterically from her car seat. She had her finger up her nose and I could see a giant booger. Like any good mother, I reached over to pull it out. But it wasn't a booger - it was a huge piece of the baby wipe. I removed several other pieces of shredded wipe, and scolded Evie. We don't put things up our nose.
She keeps doing it, though. Tissue and napkins and even lentils. Up. her. nose.
Has anyone else had this problem? I am consistent in telling her not to put things up her nose, but she is obsessed. Please tell me this phase will pass!

Wow...my five year old never stuck anything up her nose except her finger, but she did recently get a unpopped piece of popcorn stuck in her ear!
Good luck...
This phase will pass. (soon, I think) I am not sure what the facination is with the nose, but most kids go through it. All three of mine were only a passing glimpse, so I am sorry I can't be much help. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that it will be over yesterday!
P.s I am not getting feeds. Do you know how I can fix this??
None of mine stuffed things in their noses, but they did do other things. For example, Sarah would pour out an entire thing of baby powder, or toothpaste. She eventually stopped.
My brother was a stuff-er, but I won't share any of those stories with you until after your daughter gives the stuffing up.
I tried to do a search on Google and I didn't find anything. I'll ask my friend, Eliza, tomorrow. She writes a blog called babylune.com and she's covered all kinds of things.
Oh my...I can't help too much here...Savannah only sticks her finger up her nose. But I think like any stage, this will pass...don't worry! Although that's not so easy when you are right in the middle of a "stage", huh?
None of mine ever did that! But I stuck a banana up my nose once.
Wish I could help you! We are on the verge of the same problem. Sweet Pea just found his nostrils and is constantly shoving his finger as far as it will go! lol. I foresee many items going up there in the future! Let me know if you come up with something that works!
funny but gross at the same time!
oh my gosh, hubbameister. you are gross!
