Blessings

Each night, Evie and I say a prayer before bed. We pray the standard Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, and then add petitions for a friend who has had less than five good nights of rest in the past 16 months, for a baby suffering from seizures, that my two godsons grow in God's love.

Afterward, Evie excitedly demands "Let's bless people!" and we ask for God's blessings on those we love. We pray for every single person we know - our family, our friends, our neighbors, the children from music class, and lots of dogs.

But last night was special. In addition to the long and ever-growing list, she added a couple more:

"God, please bless the people at McDonalds."
"God, please bless Randy from American Idol and Paula from American Idol."

So, if you're in need of God's blessings, please let me know. We'll add you to the list.

Well, blessings are always welcome. Maybe Evie could bless Iain's teeth and ask if they could maybe give him a break for a day. That would be nice.

Ahhhh...another baby girl that loves AI as much as mine! That cracks me up! When AI comes on here and she sees Randy, Paula, Kara, and Simon, Savannah stops what she's doing and says, "Hey, look, it's two mommies and two daddies!" Guess that's one way to look at it.

We could always use extra blessings over here!

so sweet!! :) I love hearing Sweet Pea's prayers to. We pray for airplanes and lions and all kinds of things. Sometimes I wish I could think like that again.

That's awesome, I would ask you to include us, but thankfully we are we are fortunate enough to already be on her list.
